3 Ways To Earn The Trust Of Your Patients

Trust: Be More Than Just Another Urgent Care

Many urgent care companies get too aggressive with their approach to attempt attracting more patients. Rather than being the annoyance that will soon get you “unfollowed” on social media and untrusted by your audience, there are better ways to get patients in your door and that’s by earning their trust.

Today, we’re going to discuss 3 ways you can begin to earn the trust of your patients.

1.) Have A Clean Reputation: You better believe that your patients are digitally-enabled and smart about who they choose to visit for their medical needs. They may be looking for urgent care, but that doesn’t mean they want anything less than great. Marketing yourself does go deeper than just having an online presence.

You also need to have a clean online reputation. Make sure you have nothing to hide, because if there is any dirt out there about your urgent care facility, the doctors, or your desk staff you know patients are sure to find it!

2.) Show Them Some Respect: Earning trust from patients means you have to be trustworthy. Don’t be one of those urgent cares that promises the “fastest” service and then makes people wait an hour in the waiting room.

Doing so will earn you a line full of patients bolting another direction. Listening to patient feedback and making changes, when necessary, to provide them with their wants or needs will help you gain their trust.

3.) Don’t Make False Promises: There’s nothing more frustrating to a patient than to expect a high quality of service and receive the total opposite. If for any reason you are unable to handle a patient’s medical treatment, it is important to be 100% honest about the situation.

Your urgent care is still a business of sorts and if it doesn’t revolve around truth, you will eventually lose the trust of many patients!

Too many urgent care owners fail to recognize the importance of trust and then wonder why their patients look elsewhere. Don’t forget to listen to what your patients are telling you! Remember, your brand and everything about your business should start with a focus on how your promises will live up to the expectations of your patients.

Why Updating Your Urgent Care Website Is Important: Part 2

Urgent Care Website Updates Vital To Validity

Websites aren’t like the famous rotisserie machine with the tagline “set it and forget it”. If you haven’t touched your website in over a year, there may be things that are outdated. With each passing year, technology has brought in a set of guidelines to follow. Your website might not be relevant to what it popular right now. In part one of this series, we talked about 2 reasons why it is important to keep your urgent care website updated. Today, we’re going to touch on 1 more reason why you should update your urgent care website.

Updates make your urgent care look put-together.

We saved the biggest reason for last, because it’s the most noteworthy! As an urgent care facility treating patients, you certainly don’t want to look unprofessional. If anyone needs to look well put-together and organized, it’s an urgent care. The first place people will look for you, is online. Do you want your website casting you in a bad light? We hope not. No one wants to even think about visiting a doctor that hasn’t got it together. Sloppy websites bring to mind sloppy care and who knows where those mental images could go.

Aside from potential patients, think about your current patients. The only way to keep them coming back to your website, helping you to stay relevant on search engines, is to give them a reason to want to come back. The first step is bringing your website out of the 1990’s and to reflect that you’re present in 2016! The second step is to offer minor updates every so often, such as latest news, recent activities, or important information found in your blog.

PS: Don’t actually promise updates, unless you plan to provide them.

In case you missed the first part of this post, let it be known that we fully understand the need to update your urgent care website, because even we have had to have a transformation of our own.

Why Updating Your Urgent Care Website Is Important: Part 1

Urgent Care Website Updates Vital To Validity

Perhaps, when you first put your website up it was the best thing since sliced bread, but there’s one thing you have to know and that is that nothing remains the same, especially in the digital world. New trends are always flowing and what was deemed relevant a few years ago may not be what gets you noticed, today. It’s crucial to update your website, especially if you’re still using something that looks like it was from the 1990’s. Today, we’re going to touch on 2 out 3 reasons why you should update your urgent care website.

1.) Updating makes search engines happy! Ok, so we’re not saying that search engines like Google have feelings; we’re not crazy. What we mean by making search engines happy is that they are programed to sort through content and deliver researchers the most relevant data possible. When you make modern updates to your site it makes your website look “alive” with activity. Now, we’re not saying that your urgent care website will sky rocket to the number one location on Google’s front page, but the changes might just boost your ranking one step closer.

2.) It allows you to convey your message. Yes, potential patients will be seeking for your urgent care and they need to know what services you offer, where you are located, and what times you are available, but there is more to a website than being a digital business card. Updating your website to allow for a blog location is important! Having a blog with ideas, issues, explanations of illnesses, and important information can help you be more relatable to patients and allows you to convey the message that you are there to help.

Having undergone a website transformation of our own in the last few months, we understand why updating your urgent care website is so important. Not only does it allow you to get a newer, sleeker design, but it also brings credibility to your urgent care business. Need more reasons to update your website? Tune in next month for part two of this series!

Have you ever stopped to wonder how you can increase foot traffic to your urgent care? You already know that doing so is extremely important and being top of mind is necessary to fulfill that goal. We’ve talked about many urgent care marketing techniques which included having an online presence, a responsive website, and keeping a clean online reputation, but today, we’re going to talk about a different type of technology. Enter Beakn.

How can Beakn be used for your urgent care marketing efforts?

Let’s take a closer look at what Beakn can do. This is a fairly new program that functions by using bluetooth capabilities to allow the user to do many things! Some of the functions include, but may not be limited to:

  • Detecting patients that are near your urgent care and sending them notifications
  • Allowing patients to sign-in online before entering the waiting room
  • Allowing urgent care’s to send a message after the patient leaves, requesting a review

Why is this significant for urgent care marketing?

Imagine the success of Facebook for just a moment. Now translate that into Beakn. Just like Facebook, anyone can be connected to Beakn with their own account. That means that the more businesses are using it for promotional offers, the more people will be downloading the app. That translates to more potential patients being able to receive your push notifications and more.

Some examples of push notifications might include announcing seasonal updates (flu season, spring allergies, summer sports physicals, back to school immunizations, etc). Allowing patients to sign-in online before they arrive cuts down on the time they have to spend waiting in your waiting room, making your urgent care seem even speedier. Finally, getting reviews from patients is a great way to boost your image online.

Let technology be a friend to your urgent care.

Is Your Urgent Care Website Being Penalized By Google?

About The “Must Have” Feature For Urgent Care Websites

Perhaps you’ve decked out your urgent care website to reflect everything that you think patients and potential patients need to know about your urgent care brand? Perhaps you even paid a pretty penny to get you what you thought was the “perfect website?” Maybe you think you’re doing just what you need to do for urgent care marketing?

Here’s the truth: If your urgent care website isn’t mobile friendly, you are in trouble with Google. Why, you ask?

Well, according to Google, your website must be mobile friendly and if it isn’t you’ll feel the digital wrath of Google’s search engine algorithm. What that means is that your ranking will go down as you continuously get “dinged” by Google or significantly penalized by NOT being mobile friendly.

Wake up. Mobile marketing isn’t the future; it’s NOW!

In fact…Did you know that a whopping 75% of Americans admit to bringing their phone to the bathroom with them? Not only that, but 4 out of 5 shoppers use smartphones to make purchases and more. Bottom line: People are constantly searching!

Of course, urgent care marketing is easier if you’re doing it correctly.

Don’t be one of those people that think getting ranked on Google isn’t a big deal. In case you are, let’s put it into perspective for you.

Scenario: Hundreds of people are searching Google for “urgent care” in their area and you don’t appear within the first 3 pages of Google. The majority of people never even click past page 1, let alone past page 3. You are never found by any of those people searching for a medical clinic like yours.

Point made? We hope so. Google ranking is incredibly important. Don’t jeopardize your website and sabotage your urgent care marketing campaign by having a non-responsive website (which means it isn’t mobile friendly).

If you want to know more or need some help getting started in the right direction, feel free to give us a call. We’d be happy to have a consultation with you and find out about your urgent care marketing needs.

Why Does Blogging Aid Urgent Care Marketing?

Urgent Care Marketing: Information to catapult your brand

Summer is here and we hope that you’re going to be doing some “hot” branding in order to tidy up your urgent care marketing campaign. The first step to reaching out to more patients and being able to treat more people is to have your own personal website. If you already have a personal website then you’re on the right track to enhancing your urgent care marketing campaign! Today, we will explain three ways that blogging helps for urgent care marketing.

1.) Search Engine Optimization: We, internet marketing gurus, like to refer to this simply as SEO. If you want to be recognized by Google, then you have to remain fresh and that means having high SEO. The more you appear on search engine rankings, the more traffic you get to your website. We don’t have to tell you that more traffic means more potential patients, but we just did, because it is important! One way to boost your SEO is by blogging on your website. It has to be on a regular basis and it has to include your keywords that are particular to your urgent care business.

2.) Amplify Your Traffic: Blogging not only helps with urgent care marketing by increasing your SEO on your website, but it also increases interest of potential patients. Blogging consistently doesn’t have to be daunting, just be fresh and informative. After all, your blog may just be the answer to a medical related question someone searched for. By landing on your blog and seeing the answer, they may be more willing to stick around and navigate the rest of your website!

3.) Brand Your Agency: You can go with the “out of the box” free blogs found online, but nothing about that allows you to be you and it’s not nearly as powerful (nor is it ranked well by Google) as having your blog built into a website dedicated solely to your urgent care brand. People make decisions based on emotion and blogging will take you one step up in that category. People like to see a little lightheartedness in the writing paired with the informational, helpful tips you may have to offer.

So, are you ready to make your urgent care marketing campaign shine? Blogging on your website can be the ticket that gets you those new patients. Don’t let them look elsewhere for their medical needs!

Responsive Websites for Urgent Care Marketing

Urgent Care Marketing: Smart websites

Is your urgent care marketing strategy hitting a plateau in this digital age of smart phones and tablets? These devices have revolutionized the approach to website design and user experience. Before cell phones or tablets came along, the main focus was trying to get website designs that would function with multiple browsers. If you’re only worry is this and your website doesn’t fit on smaller screens, then your urgent care website might need to be upgraded to be viewed by mobile devices. Your website needs to be responsive to be the best website it can be.

If your website doesn’t adapt to fit the smaller screens of a cell phone or tablet, then you just might be missing out on patients who would have otherwise visited your urgent care facility. When your website is responsive it means that the page is able to automatically re-size itself to respond to any size screen. When it changes to fit smaller screens, the information stays uniform, but is shifted to allow for an optimal viewing experience.

Still wondering why is it significant to have a responsive website? It has been said that eighty percent of patients find urgent care providers online prior to visiting them and more than fifty percent of them are using a mobile device for their searches. Responsive websites makes it easier for patients to view the content of your website and makes navigating it effortless. This is why it is very important to make sure your website is responsive.

In some cases you might just have a separate website that works for mobile devices, keeping your original website up for computer use only. The sister website would make it easier for patients to see your website in a “smart way,” while allowing you to maintain your original design should you wish to keep it.

Will you join the modern age, break your urgent care marketing campaign free from constraints, and upgrade to a responsive, smart website?

Urgent Care Marketing and Reputation Management

Urgent Care Marketing: Patients trust online reviews

When planning out your urgent care marketing campaign there are so many aspects to consider. A very powerful way to keep patients coming to your facility for care is managing your reputation. Imagine if your urgent care has been established, you have a website and you’re trying to go full speed ahead, but a negative review has people turning away. Your urgent care marketing strategy might be to include some reputation management tools.

So you think you’re providing the most excellent customer service? Just keep in mind, that what people say about you online has become the most influential way others decide whether they want to visit your urgent care. Online reviews are becoming one of the most important reflections of your urgent cares’ quality, the doctors’ reliability and their skills.

According to findings published by BrightLocal in their annual Local Consumer Review Survey, eighty-eight percent of people trust online reviews just as much as personal recommendations. This is why reputation is so vital. All of your other urgent care marketing strategies such as SEO, social media postings and local search optimization are meant to put you in the spot light which means that they will inevitably lead patients to check you out.

If you have a reputation management system in place you will be able to know what your patients are saying about you. This way, you can tweak your customer service skills for better performance in the future. By having a professional marketing team help you, many disastrous reviews can be eliminated before they bring you down. Great reviews will be distributed to multiple review sites. By being able to keep tabs on what is being said about your urgent care, it can help you head off major issues before they boil over.

Internet Existence for Urgent Care Marketing Part 2

Urgent Care Marketing: Be found online with SEO

At this point you may have a website already made in order to start your urgent care marketing campaign and it’s living on the web right now, but you don’t know what to do next. Unfortunately for websites, the concept of “build it and they will come” from the movie Field of Dreams, is not a method that will work.

In the process of vamping up your urgent care marketing campaign you have to be mindful of competitors. It is no doubt that patients have searched Google to find an urgent care millions of times. How many times do you think people made it past page three of their Google search before they made their decision on which urgent care to use? Not many and, in fact, there are some patients that never make it past page one of their Google search.

If your urgent care website isn’t on the first three pages of Google then it is likely that you just aren’t being found. If people cannot find your website then they will chose to go somewhere else. Your urgent care marketing campaign needs some help with search engine optimization(SEO). You have to get yourself noticed by Google if you want people to locate your website. Using SEO services can help you get to where you want to be and will help patients find you when they complete Google searches for urgent care facilities.

If you work with professionals that know how to use keywords on your website, then Google will be able to recognize the efforts put forth. By following the basic rules of getting found, you will be able to climb in rankings. It does take some time and effort to consciously updated your page enough so that it doesn’t become a “dead website” and fall off the rankings. but if you’re willing to put in the work to make your urgent care marketing campaign solid, the patients will find you.
